Sustainable living can be attained by making choices that aim to reduce our individual and collective environmental impact. The lifestyle choices we make affect the environment and climate. You can start small and make little changes to reduce your carbon footprint.
Sustainable living not only contributes to the environment but also improves our physical, psychological, and social well-being. Our actions today will decide the health and well-being of the planet & generations to come.
Here we have some tips to help you embrace an eco-friendly lifestyle:
Plant Trees:
Planting trees can help save the Earth from climate change. They filter clean air by trapping dangerous pollutants, and release oxygen. Trees also provide natural habitat for wildlife.
Conserve Energy:
Turn off lights, unplug devices when they are not in use. Switch to LED bulbs, which are energy-efficient.
Use of Solar Energy:
Installing solar panels in your houses, it not only reduces your energy consumption but also, minimizes your electricity bills.
Reduce, Re-use, Recycle:
By following the 3R's hierarchy, we can protect the Earth. We can reduce the amount of waste by purchasing eco-friendly goods. Reuse old or unwanted things that you might otherwise toss out and find a new use for them. Recycling is changing waste into new products in order to avoid the use of new material.
Drive Less:
Walk, bike, carpool, use public transportation whenever possible. If you need to run an errand a walking distance away, try to walk or cycle. It will not only have a positive impact on your health but also save you money, and reduce pollution.
